Abstract

This Decree-Law establishes exceptional and temporary measures responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, within the scope of state-owned water supply and wastewater sanitation systems. It partially defers the execution of the debt settlement agreements entered under Decree-Law No. 5/2019 of 14 January and the extension of the deadline for the assignment of credits by the managing entities of multi-municipal systems or other state-owned water supply and wastewater sanitation systems and by managing entities of partnerships between the State and local authorities, pursuant to Decree-Law No. 90/2009 of 9 April. In particular, it establishes that the deadline established in article 4 of Decree-Law No. 5/2019 of 14 January 2020 is extended until 30 September 2020 for the assignment of credits held in debt settlement agreements.
