Abstract This Decree-Law is composed of 18 articles and one Annex divided into five Chapters. It implements EC Regulation No. 1774/2002 of 3 October 2002 by regulating sanitary measures for animal by-products not used for human consumption purposes. In particular, it defines the controlling authority and defines procedures and requirements for approval, licensing and control processes. Moreover, it rules on the sanctions regime.
