Abstract This Decree-Law, composed of 3 articles and one Annex, amends the Decree-Law No. 24/2002 of 16 September and provides a consolidated version. The consolidate version regulates the production, import, export, commercialisation and use of iodated salt used for human and animal consumption. In particular, it establishes the certification and quality procedures, the controlling authorities, the packaging and labelling procedures as well as the hygiene measures. Finally, it indicates the composition requirements and recalls to the Codex Alimentarius general rules. Full text Portuguese
