Abstract The Decree-Law maintains in force until 1977 the incentives set forth in articles 73, 78, 80 and 81 of Decree-Law No. 221 of 28 February 1967. It establishes the competence of the Ministry of Agriculture to fix priority criteria according to geographic regions, production sectors and fish species for the Fisheries Development Superintendence (SUDEPE) further approval of projects on fishing fiscal incentives. The Decree modifies articles 74 and 77 of the Decree-Law No. 221 of 28 February 1967 and delegates to the Ministry of Finance the power to concede until 1977 tax exemptions over industrialized products to vessels used for commercial or scientific fishing purposes.
