Abstract This Decree-Law, consisting of five Chapters and one Annex, creates Checkpoints for the Transport and Circulation of Forestry, Agricultural and Livestock Products. The purpose of creating checkpoints is to supervise and monitor, including physical and electronic surveillance, with certain periodicity on National Roads. For the purposes of this Decree-Law, a Checkpoint means an units with a permanent service character, located in different strategic points of the country. Forest, Agricultural and Livestock Products are understood to be the following: 1. Forestry products: a) Woody forestry products (wood, trunks, boards, poles); b) Non-wood forestry products (charcoal, plants and animals collected in forest areas). 2. Agricultural Products: all agricultural products, raw and processed. 3. Livestock Products: all livestock products, live and processed animals, and other animal products.
