Abstract This Decree, as in accordance with the provisions of the Macedonian Law on protection and rescue operations, regulates the implementation of measures for care of victims and of endangered population, which shall be realized within the national protection and rescue system. Planning and preparation of activities for the implementation of the care of affected and endangered population is carried out by state administration bodies, bodies of local self-government units, public enterprises, institutions, services and companies. Care includes acceptance, accommodation and provision of basic conditions for life (also supply of food, water, electricity) of affected and endangered population. Republic and local units of self-government provide accommodation and emergency care to the population, which due to natural disasters other accidents, are left without a home (population endangerment).
