Abstract

The present Decree provides for the setting up of the marine protected area Capo Caccia - Isola Piana, which shall be delimited by a line joining the points referred to in article 2 (coastal territories pertaining to the maritime domain are comprised too). The aims pursued are those listed out in article 3, such as the protection and preservation of natural resources, with particular regard to the marine environment, and the performance of scientific research and studies. The activities referred to in article 4 (such as sport fishing, hunting, gathering of plants) shall not be carried out. The marine area is divided into three zones at different levels of protection (total, general and partial reserve). Surveillance functions are entrusted to the Harbour - Master.
