Abstract This Decree, made under sections 2 and 51 of Chapter 27 and section 28 of Chapter 15 of the Environmental Code, provides rules relative to the handling and disposal of extraction waste, i.e. (hazardous) waste originating from prospecting, extraction and processing of mineral resources and other mining materials. One of the aims of the Decree is to prevent pollution to groundwater and the environment in general. The Decree specifies safety measures and procedures for the granting of permits for waste handling installations.
