Abstract

The present Decree of the Ministry of the Environment contains provisions prohibiting or restricting the use of chemical products. It does not apply to chemical products and biotechnological organisms that are covered by the Food Act (2006: 804), the Act relative to animal feed and by-products of animal origin (2006:805) or the Pharmaceuticals Act (2015:315). The Decree contains 24 sections divided in the following headings: (i) Content; (ii) Two-component epoxy containing bisphenol A or bisphenol A diglycidyl ether; (iii) Cadmium and ammonium carbonate in fertilizers; (iv) Plastic particles in cosmetic products; (v) Oxo-degradable plastic; (v) Chlorinated solvents; (vi) Quicksilver; (vii) Cadmium and mercury in batteries; (viii) Heavy metals in packaging materials; (ix) Ammunition containing lead; (x) Detergents containing phosphates; (xi) Other products and goods that are hazardous to health and the environment; (xii) Enforcement regulations; (xiii) Supervision and fees; (xiv) Appeals; (xv) Penalties and confiscation.
