Abstract

This Declaration, made in by the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources in terms of section 22 of the Inland Fisheries Resources Act, 2003 in consultation with the Zambezi Regional Council and relevant Traditional Authorities, declares the Zambezi River system shared with Zambia as a fisheries reserve for the period 1 November to 28 February annually. The inland waters of the Zambezi River shared with Zambia shall be closed for all fishing activities except for recreational fishing activities.
