Abstract

This executive order declares a state of emergency for the State of North Carolina due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The Order also noted that the declaration triggers the prohibition against excessive pricing as provided un the state statutes and encourages the North Carolina Attorney General to use all resources available to monitor reports of abusive trade practices towards consumers and make readily available opportunities to report price gouging as well as unfair and deceptive trade practice to the public.
