Abstract

The thirteenth meeting of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress decided to ratify the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, signed by the Chinese government on August 24, 1999 At the same time, it is stated that the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade is not applicable to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China until further notice from the Government of the People's Republic of China.
