Abstract This Decision establishes the Statute of the Marine Megafauna Scientific Research Centre (CIMM). CIMM's mission is to seek excellence in the study and research that contribute to the knowledge of marine megafauna, with special attention to rays and whale sharks, and the development of actions aimed at the protection, preservation and conservation of different marine species and aquatic ecosystems. The CIMM's vision is a world where marine life and humans thrive together by saving endangered marine life. The CIMM is created for an indefinite period, from the date of its constitution.
