Decision No.03/2001/QD-TTg approving the results of the general inventory of forests throughout the country.

The results of the general inventory of forest in 1999 is hereby approved and attached as Schedule to this Decision. The Presidents of the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities of forest areas shall organise the forest management, protection and development in strict accordance with the provisions of the Prime Minister's Decision No. 245/1998/QD-TTg of 21 December 1998 on the Exercise of State Management Responsibilities of All Levels over Forests and Forestry Lands. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall inspect and supervise the implementation of forest protection measures and co-ordinate efforts of concerned ministries and other bodies in providing guidance to local forestry management and protection. The Ministry shall also co-ordinate a survey and evaluation of forest resource developments.
