Abstract

The National Board of Fisheries, in accordance with the fisheries regulations fixing the fishing opportunities and associated conditions for certain fish stocks and groups of fish stocks applicable in the Baltic Sea for 2007 shall establish for 2007 additional fishing ban periods for fishing in the Baltic Sea with all types of fishing gear of mesh size equal to or greater than 90 mm or with set lines as follows: (a) common days of fishing ban laid down in the EU Council Regulation - in subdivision 22-24 (40 calendar days): from 1 to 7 January; from 31 March to 1 May; 31 December; in subdivision 25–27 (76 calendar days): from 1 to 7 January; from 5 to 10 April; from 1 July to 31 August; 31 December; and (b) days of additional fishing ban for Latvian fishing vessels prescribed by this decision - in subdivision 22-24 (77calendar days): from 8 to 10 January; from 15 to 30 March; from 2 to 14 May; from 1 to 31 October; from 16 to 30 December; in subdivision 25 – 27 (67 calendar days): from 1 to 12 February; from 2 to 4 April; from 1 to 30 June; 1 to 15 September; from 24 to 30 December.
