The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water Administration is responsible for the implementation of this Decision. This Decision sets out the National Strategy for Fisheries (NSPs) for fisheries and aquaculture operations from 2017 to 2022. The strategy was prepared by the Rural Development and Water Administration of Albania (MARDWA) based on fisheries and aquaculture activity, and was finalized in late 2015. The purpose of the strategy is to introduce a comprehensive strategy for mid-term development of these sectors. This strategy is implemented through a plan of action, as a major reorientation to improve the social and economic context of the sector.
