Abstract This Decision creates the National Steering Committee on fishing against Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Committee, entitled to perform the following activities: assist the Prime Minister to coordinate ministries to implement anti-IUU exploitation to meet international practices, conventions and agreements that Vietnam has signed, in accordance with the regulations of regional and international fisheries organizations against IUU exploitation; propose urgent tasks and solutions, with priority given to implementation of anti-exploitation of IUU; propose solutions in the implementation of anti-IUU exploitation by ministries, branches and local government; organize a preliminary review of the implementation of anti- IUU exploitation; propose tasks and solutions suitable to the practical situation, enhance the effectiveness and efficiency in the fight against IUU exploitation; direct the implementation of international cooperation on anti- IUU exploitation with other countries, international organizations and relevant regions; perform other duties as assigned and directed by the Government and the Prime Minister.
