Pursuant to the Law on High Technologies of 13 November 2008; and in view to implement the Prime Minister's Decision No. 1895/QD-TTg of 17 December 2012. It aims to bring into play the comparative advantages in natural conditions, resources and socio-economic conditions of each ecological area in order to promote hi-tech application in agriculture, contributing to achieving the objectives of agricultural restructuring nationwide and in each region toward higher added value and sustainable development. Hi-tech agricultural parks constitute the technological core for development of hi-tech agricultural zones. To socialize to the utmost investment in the construction of hi-tech agricultural parks and zones; mobilize all economic sectors, especially enterprises, science and technology institutions and attract foreign investment sources. Its general objectives are: To promote development of agriculture toward modern and large-scale commodity production of high yield, quality, efficiency and competitiveness; to ensure national food and foodstuff security and boost exports.
