This text entered into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette (published on 21 January 2013).
Abstract

This Decision, in order to prevent the entry into Bosnia and Herzegovina of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies, here prohibits the entry of the following shipments: a) bovine, ovine and caprine animals; b) products originating from bovine, ovine and caprine animals; c) by-products originating from bovine, ovine and caprine animals. However, it is allowed to import and transit certain consignments, if in accordance with conditions and in the manner prescribed by provisions of related national legislation as follows: Regulation on the measures for the prevention, control and eradication of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies; Regulation on the status of states or regions in relation to bovine spongiform encephalopathy; Regulation on by-products of animal origin and their products not intended for human consumption; Regulation determining veterinary health conditions for disposal, use, collection, transport, identification and traceability, registration and approval of plants, placing on the market, import, transit and export of animal by-products and their products not intended for human consumption.
