Abstract The present Regulations provide for the enactment of the Animal Products Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down comprehensive provisions relating to licences procedures to run dairy plants. Section 3 establishes that no person shall carry on business as a dairy manufacturing plant operator in Saskatchewan unless he is the holder of a valid and subsisting licence issued under these Regulations. The text – consisting of 31 sections – deals, inter alia, with the following matters: issuing of licences, licences fees, suspension and cancellation of licences, permit to establish a plant and appointment of a Board, criteria for dairy manufacturing plants, plant operational standards, sanitary standards, reporting and records to be maintained, production and marketing of dairy products, grade names and milk transportation.
