Abstract

These Regulations provide for a variety of matters including powers and duties of inspectors, ventilation, use and disinfecting of premises, keeping of pigs and manure, cleansing of creameries, registration of premises, grading of cream, testing and taking of samples, standards for butter, etc. Inspectors are appointed by the Ministers and shall have the powers specified in regulation 3. The inspector may require a list of suppliers of dairy products of dairy produce under regulation 5. The Inspector may also prohibit the use of any produce premise or materials deemed unfit for the intended purpose (reg. 16). Regulations 22 to 27 concern the grading of cream. Regulation 32 specifies standards for butter.
