Abstract

This Law stipulates that notwithstanding any native law or custom to the contrary a female person has the right to acquire and own property and shall share in the intestate estate of her deceased father, mother or husband in accordance with the provisions of this Law. Females may be the administrator or one of the administrators of her fathers, mothers or husbands estate. The Law also grants other rights to women and provides protection of women from degrading treatment and provides with respect
