Abstract

In various Commonwealth Acts relating to environment, wildlife or fisheries provisions of Chapter 2 of the Criminal Code apply, i.e. Chapter 2 of the Criminal Code applies to all offences against those Acts. The purpose of Chapter 2 is to codify the general principles of criminal responsibility under laws of the Commonwealth. It contains all the general principles of criminal responsibility that apply to any offence, irrespective of how the offence is created.
