Abstract

The Act applies to the creeks set out in section 3. The Minister may the Act applicable to other creeks. Creeks shall be kept clear from obstructions by the proper authorities being appointed by the Minister (sects. 4 and 6). The proper authority may request owners of plantations to clear river banks and when the owner fails to do so the authority may order the work to be done at the expense of the owner (sect. 7). Appeal against decisions of the proper authority may be had with the Minister under section 9.
