The Act describes the offence of hoarding for any dealer who is found to storing or stocking anything in excess of the maximum quantity of scheduled articles allowed to be held in stock. The Act lays out power to search and seizure of scheduled articles and the power to auction the scheduled articles. The text further prescribes the offence for companies, firm, partnership and corporations that act as dealer for hoarding. The text outlines the proceeding process in case of commitment of the offence and provides for reward for disclosure of information.
