This Regulation came into force on 29 December 2001 (the day of its publication on the Official Journal of the European Communities).
Abstract

This Regulation extends up to eleven years the period during which Portugal shall be authorized to carry out in certain regions the conversion of land currently under arable crops to extensive livestock production. At the end of the 11 year following the entry into force of this Regulation, unallocated premium rights shall lapse and the specific reserve shall be abolished.
