Abstract

This Regulation establishes the fishing opportunities for certain fish stocks and groups of fish stocks applicable in the Baltic Sea for the year 2008. Further the Regulation lays down the conditions under which such opportunities may be used. In particular, it lays down provisions on total allowable catches, quotas, landings limits and transmission of data to the European Community Commission. The fishing opportunities apply to European Community fishing vessels as well as to fishing vessels flying the flag of third countries which operate in the Baltic Sea.
