This Decision entered into force on 3 February 2003.
Abstract

The present Decision has been enacted to lay down protection measures against New Castle disease. In fact, Member States may authorize the importation from the United States of America of live poultry and hatching eggs thereof, live ratites and hatching eggs thereof, fresh poultry meat, farmed and wild feathered game, meat products and meat preparations consisting of meat of any of the species aforementioned exclusively if they originate in, or come from, the region of the United States of America as described in the Annex hereby attached. By way of derogation from such provision, however, Member States may authorize the imports referred to in article 2. Article 3 deals with animal health certificates.
