Abstract

The Minister may, from time to time by Statutory Instrument, declare that these Regulations shall apply to any area specified therein. Again, by Statutory Instrument, the Minister may order the uprooting and destruction of cotton plants older than four months. If a cotton grower fails to comply with the order, the Director of Agriculture may cause the cotton plants to be destroyed. An Order may also be provoked by recommendations passed in a meeting scheduled in accordance with regulation 8. The Director of Agriculture or a person authorized by him shall have access to land upon which cotton is grown for purposes of searching for pests or inspection. (10 regulations completed by a Schedule)
