Abstract

These Regulations set out rules relative to auction floors licensed for the purpose of selling tobacco under section 18 of the Control of Tobacco Auction Floors and define duties of owners of licensed auction floors in respect of handling and storage of tobacco and keeping it free from contaimination by fertilizers, pesticides or other contaminating substances and docementation of movement of and trade in tobacco. They also define the liability of owner of a licensed auction floor for loss incurred by a buyer or a seller on an auction floor and provide with respect to packing of tobacco, refusal of unfit tobacco and resolution of disputes.
