Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 3 of the Control of Goods Act, place restrictions on the importation of radioactive substances (as defined in these Regulations). The Minister may, by Notice published in the Gazette, issue open import licences authorizing, subject to any other law, the import into Malawi of any radioactive substance. Importation shall be subject to certain conditions, including obtaining a specific licence of the Secretary for Economic Affairs and labelling of containers with the accepted scientific name or other name descriptive of the nature of the substance, constituent or ingredient.
