Abstract The present Act lays down Sweden's basic legal framework for the protection of consumers in sales contract entered into with sellers. It also contains provisions concerning the provision of digital content or services. The Act contains the following chapters: 1) Basic provisions; 2) Delivery of the goods; 3) Delay on the part of the seller; 4) Defective products; 5) Sanctions for defective products; 6) Damages in the event of breach of contract; 7) Consumer payment obligation and delay; 8) Other provisions on the purchase of goods; 8) Contracts concerning the provision of digital content and digital services.
