Abstract This Act shall only apply to goods and services supplied in trade. This Act sets forth provisions on the guarantees in respect of supply of goods and services to consumers, requirements for acceptable quality for goods and services, fitness of goods and services for consumer protection, labeling, sampling, consumer awareness-raising, fair prices, consumers' rights of redress, repair of the defective goods, and liability of suppliers and manufacturers in certain circumstances. In respect of the failure of any goods and services to comply with a guarantee, consumers have a right to redress and remedies against the supplier and the manufacturer. Consumers should exercise their rights to reject the good and the service in a reasonable time. Finally this Act sets forth the rules and effects of the cancellation of a contract for supply of a service, dispute settlement, enforcement of rights under this Act, judicial proceedings, penalties, damage valuation, and indemnification.
