Abstract

The purpose of these Regulations is to establish a framework for allowing a derogation for opening an Autumn live-capturing season for Finches in terms of regulation 9(1)(f) of the Conservation of Wild Birds Regulations. These provisions specify the means by which finches may be captured and require the holding of a special licence. Further provisions concern the prohibition of capture in protected areas, live capturing stations, size of clap nets and mesh size, and penalties.
