Abstract This Conservation and Management Measure (CMM) applies to all fishing vessels of Contracting Parties, cooperating non-Contracting Parties and participating fishing entities to the Agreement (CCP), engaged in fishing operations in the SIOFA Area of Application (Agreement Area) for fishery resources. This CMM underlines that each CCP shall ensure that its vessels maintain either an electronic fishing logbook or a bound fishing logbook containing the information relevant for their compliance with the data collection and submission requirements of CMM 02(2023) (Data Standards). This CMM lays down rules for Vessel Monitoring System; entry and exit report; monitoring of transfers and transshipments at sea of fishery resources, including fish products; monitoring transshipments in ports; and reporting of transfers and transshipments at sea. Each CCP shall ensure that vessels flying its flag do not undertake transshipments at sea or in port of fishery resources with vessels included in the IUU vessel lists established by CCAMLR or any regional fisheries management organization.
