This shall be done on a precautionary and gradual basis according to the best available science and shall meet specified objectives. Fishing pursuant to this Measure shall only take place in accordance a specified Fisheries Operation Plan, suggested Data Collection Plan, and impact assessment standard. Various obligations are imposed on such vessel(s) with respect to total allowable catch, authorised vessels, management measures, use of gear, protection of marine mammals, seabirds, turtles, and other species of concern, monitoring and data collection.
