The license is nominative, and alterations to the processing area in the fish processing vessel require written permission from the Director of Fisheries. Activities not permitted for the fish processing vessels are (i) the export of fish overseas; and (ii) fishing activities or keeping any fishing equipment without permission. The processed fish must be landed only at authorized landing places. The licensee shall (i) ensure safe conditions of the vessel; (ii) implement an approved quality assurance program if required; (iii) comply with the Manual of Brunei Darussalam on Hygiene Requirements for Fishing Vessels and Landing Sites, the Manual of Brunei Darussalam on Hygiene Requirements for Fish Processing Establishments, and, in case of export to EU, with the Manual of Brunei Darussalam on Hygiene Requirements for Fishery Products Export to the European Union (EU); (iv) allow authorized officers to inspect the premises, equipment, operation, storage, materials, processed fish, records or to take samples for analysis;(v) prepare and submit the required reports including data of the fish processing vessel and records of the daily activities of the fish processing vessel.
