Abstract

This Law creates the Fund for Agricultural and Livestock Protection (FUNDEAGRO) as an agricultural and livestock protection measure, in order to enforce liabilities and compensations to the owner for an animal or plant affected by disease or pest. FUNDEAGRO will be constituted of the following resources: revenues from the application of fines for illegal activity; revenue from taxes and services from the Agricultural Protection Agency of the State of Ceará (ADAGRI); revenues from agreements and contracts entered into by the State with the Union, municipalities, public and private institutions. FUNDEAGRO beneficiaries are producers who fit under specific conditions. FUNDEAGRO will be managed by the ADAGRI, through a Management Committee and Executive Committee, which will have their attributions, composition and functioning regulated by Decree.
