Abstract This Complementary Law amends the Environmental Protection Code of Amapá State. Amendments deal mainly with the Environmental Licensing which will be issued by the Institute of Environment and Land Management (IMAP). It lays down the different areas of small and medium environmental impact, for agro-silvopastoril and mineral enterprises, in compliance with the criteria set forth in Federal Law and in the Complementary Law. The agro-silvopastoril and minerals activities (permission of mining) are considered of low and medium environmental impact. The technical project submitted at the Institute for Environment and Territorial Planning (IMAP), duly accompanied by the Technical Responsibility Note (ART) of the professional responsible for the project, should be considered as the basis for the analysis, and cannot be changed by the analyst. The President of the IMAP, in the exercise of its competence, observing the deadlines, will issue the Environmental Permit or Authorization, according to the different activity, characterized by phases of implementation. The instruments of the State Environmental Policy are: environmental planning; mechanisms for environmental impact assessment and Public Hearing; Licensing and environmental authorizations; Control, monitoring and inspection of activities that may cause environmental impacts; Environmental education; Mechanisms of incentives promoting the recovery, preservation and improvement of the environment; State system of records, registers and environmental information, etc. Full text Portuguese Website www.al.ap.gov.br References - Legislation Amends Complementary Law No. 0005 on the Environmental Protection Code of Amapá State.
