Abstract

This Chapter of the Ohio Revised Code concerns gas, electric, water or other companies. It provides that a company organized for the purpose of supplying gas for lighting the streets and public and private buildings of a municipal corporation or township may manufacture, sell, and furnish the gas required in such municipal corporation or township for such or other purposes, a company organized for the purpose of supplying the inhabitants of a municipal corporation or township with water may sell and furnish any quantity of water required in such municipal corporation or township for such or other purposes, and a company organized for the purpose of supplying the inhabitants of a municipal corporation or township with sewage disposal services may supply said services as required by such municipal corporation or township for such or other purposes. Such companies may lay conductors for conducting gas, sewage, or water through the streets, lands, alleys, and squares in such municipal corporation with the consent of the municipal authorities or the board of township trustees under such reasonable regulations as such authorities or board prescribes.
