Abstract

This Regulation lays down some amendments to Commission Regulation (EU) No. 142/2011 as regards requirements concerning the use of animal by-products and derived products as a fuel in combustion plants. More specifically, it amends article 6 which provides for the rules for approval of combustion plants using manure of farmed animals as a fuel for combustion. The article is amended in order to include rules concerning the use of meat-and-bone mea (MBM) as a fuel for combustion.
