Abstract

According to Directive 2000/29/EC, all consignments of plants, plant products or other objects listed in Part B of Annex V shall be subjected to identity and plant health checks before being allowed to enter the Community. Member States may apply to the Commission to have a product concerned subjected to those checks at a reduced frequency (art. 2). Two Annexes are attached. Annex I specifies the information to be provided by Member States in order to obtain the reduced frequency of plant health checks. Annex II specifies the information to be supplied by Member States to the Commission for the purpose of monitoring the importation of the products concerned.
