This Regulation entered into force on 1 August 1999.
Abstract

The following paragraphs 6 and 7 are hereby added to article 1 of Regulation (EC) No. 2629/97: In addition to the information provided for in paragraph l and distinct from it, the replacement eartags used in the event of eartag losses may contain a mark with the version number of the replacement eartag expressed in Roman numerals. In such an event, the identification code provided for in paragraph 2 shall remain unchanged. In case of an eartag loss, the replacement eartag used by a Member State
