This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Abstract

This Regulation establishes rules for the performance of official controls as referred to in Article 21(2) of Regulation (EU) 2017/625, and in particular, for inspections pursuant to Article 20 of Regulation (EC) No 1/2005. This Regulation lays down provisions on documentary checks on contingency plans in the event of emergencies according to requirements provided for in Article 7 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/372; port State control inspections during loading and unloading of livestock vessels and their reports; inspections on loading of livestock vessels and official controls at exit points at seaports by the team of inspectors; and visual evidence taken during the inspections and official controls.
