Entry into force notes

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union and shall apply from 1 January 2023.

Abstract

This Regulation lays down rules concerning the content of the multi-annual national control plan and its preparation, as well as the range of samples and the stage of production, processing and distribution where the samples are to be taken as regards contaminants in food, within the framework of Regulation (EU) 2017/625. The Member States shall control the presence of contaminants in food in accordance with Annex I and adopt a sampling strategy in accordance with the criteria set out in Annex II.
