This Decision shall apply from 1 October 2004.
Abstract

The vaccination programme against avian influenza submitted by Italy to the European Commission is hereby approved and shall be implemented in the vaccination area described in Annex I. Intensive monitoring and surveillance shall be carried out in the same area as well as in the bordering area defined under Annex II. Restrictions on movements of live poultry, hatching eggs and fresh poultry meat into, out of and within the area described in Annex I shall be applied.
