Member States are required to suspend the importation from the Republic of South Africa of the following: (a) live ratites and hatching eggs of these species; (b) birds other than poultry, including pet birds accompanying their owners; (c) fresh meat of ratites; and d) meat preparations and meat products consisting of or containing meat of ratites.
