Abstract

This Decision approves, on the one hand, the plan submitted by Luxembourg for the eradication of classical swine fever in feral pigs and, on the other hand, the plan submitted by Luxembourg for the emergency vaccination of feral pigs against classical swine fever. Luxembourg is required, in accordance with article 4 of this Decision, to adopt appropriate measures in a strip of its territory with a width of not less than 20 km from the border with France, in order to attains the following objectives: 1) to reduce as much as possible disturbance to the feral pigs population; 2) decrease the density of the feral pig population. Such measures shall be adopted in cooperation with the French authorities.
