Abstract The Act specifies which lands shall be registered as commercial forests. Registration and the issuance of a certificate for commercial forest plantation land shall be in accordance with the regulations specified by the Director-General. The text further imposes conditions related to the cutting, felling and sale of timber in commercial forest plantations. All timber originated from these plantations shall be exempt from royalties and forest maintenance fees. Authorized officers shall have the power to enter and inspect commercial forest plantations in order to collect forestry data and plant growth statistics, and evaluate results of the plantation.
