Abstract The present Regulations provide for the enactment of the Natural Resources Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to incentives to be paid to commercial fishing industries. They apply to those parts of Saskatchewan where the waters designated pursuant to section 8 are situated. Section 4 establishes that the Minister may, for the purpose of encouraging and promoting the development of commercial fishing, provide a transportation subsidy or price support subsidy to any person who: a) is a commercial fisherman; b) has a valid Fisherman’s Identification Number issued by the department; and c) complies with the other provisions of these Regulations.
